Prior to founding Critical Publics, Thomas gained extensive institutional reputation, public affairs and crisis management experience as Senior Account Executive at Sterling PR, Marketing Manager at Sterling Media and Head of Corporate Communications at Prodigy Communications.

He was responsible for the corporate communications of various ASE, LSE, AIM, NYSE, NASDAQ, DAX and NUOVO MERCATO listed companies, as well as communications crisis management for multinational corporations and governmental organizations. He has served as special consultant to Sonera prior and leading to its merger with Telia, Western Union and was in charge of Handspring's European corporate communications. Thomas - inter alia - also served as strategic communications consultant to Diageo, AstraZeneca, OTE Group, Casinos Austria International, Vivartia, Shell, Regency Entertainment, MIH Holdings, the Greek Ministry of Transport and Telecoms, the Greek Ministry of Press and the Greek Ministry of Development.

He holds an MA in Diplomatic Studies focusing on Crisis Management and Dispute Resolution from the Diplomatic Academy of London and a law degree in European Law from St Mary’s School of Law. He is a Research Fellow of the Centre of International Conflicts Analysis and a guest lecturer at Birkbeck College’s Media Studies Department.
