TELL ME
“How can beauty and death have the same face?”
In Tell Me, Nikos Megrelis and Renée Revah narrate the story of a Jewish family from Thessaloniki that was wiped out in the Holocaust - a powerful “cry for peace” for our time.
At the heart of the documentary lies a deeply personal story: that of Renée’s grandfather, Albert Revah, and her ancestors -one human point within the vast and tragic history of the Holocaust at Auschwitz-Birkenau, where 1,200,000 people were murdered.
As noted by the filmmakers:
‘‘This film is an act of remembrance, but also a prayer for healing; because only if we acknowledge trauma and give it space to be transformed and healed can we break the cycle of violence and allow life to flourish.’’
